We’re thrilled to partner with Food for Lane County for a hands-on volunteer activity as part of our Lane County Broker Summit!

Knowing some partners may not be able to join us for this activity, we’re asking folks to register separately for this portion of our event. That’ll help us get a more accurate head count to share with our partners at Food for Lane County.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Activities: Our time will include a variety of tasks, such as:

• Planting and mulching
• General gardening tasks
• Trellising tomatoes or cucumbers
• Tidying up the area
• Baiting or setting traps

What to Wear: Please dress comfortably and appropriately for outdoor work. Recommended attire includes:

• Layers to stay prepared for the weather
• Shoes you don’t mind getting dirty
• A sun hat and sunscreen for protection
• Gloves (work gloves are available on-site, but feel free to bring your own)

Additional Info:

• Rubber Boots: If needed, rubber boots are available to borrow.
• Water: Bring a water bottle—we’ll have water available on-site for refills.
• Parking: Shared parking with St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The garden is behind that.
